You chased the tram...but does it go to your destination?
Last week, I got off 10 stops too early before my destination and didn't realize it. I was going in circle in the wrong suburb looking for the wrong road. Hours later, I was standing on the wrong side of the road, and saw that the tram I was looking for passing the other side of the road. I tried to cross the road but it was no use, the tram had been gone.
Today I learn a very precious lesson. I took the tram that usually goes to City, but because there's a special event taking place in its way, it'd be diverted somewhere.
I got off at a major road and looking for a connecting tram to City. I saw it passing the road before me. While it stopped for the red light, I ran to the next tram stop. To my surprise it didn't turn, apparently it was the end of the line, so that tram had reached its final destination. And the tram stop that I was running to was meant for another route.
While my feet was still sore, I saw the tram going to City in the intersection. I was very sure that it'd have left by the time I got to the stop. But it was not. It stayed there. It felt forever for me waiting before I could cross the busy road, but the tram was still there, almost like waiting for me to hop in.
Here's the wisdom...everyone has some common and some different aspirations, one of them is very hard to achieve. For me it's love. I imagined that my house is the destination, happiness. I imagined that the trams are different girls. One might close its doors and going before your eyes. One might have its route diverted, or not taking passengers.
More importantly, one tram you chased might be not the one that goes to your destination. You might look at the wrong side of the road. And like what I've experienced...the one you're looking for, for one reason, doesn't leave when you thought it would. One tram would open its door and taking you to your destination.
